Potion Perfection: Crafting with the Poison Bottle Die
Hi again crafty friends! It’s Cristina from UniekMakes, and today marks Day 3 of my Spellbinders 13 Days of Craftoween 2025 series.
Today’s project brings a little bit of wicked chemistry to your craft room with a card featuring the bold and fun Poison Bottle die set. It’s creepy, cute, and surprisingly versatile—perfect for card swaps, treat bags, or even spooky journaling spreads!
Today’s Project: Trick or Treat Poison Bottle Card

This die was such a blast to work with! The moment I saw that skull-and-crossbones and the “POISON” label, I knew I wanted to go with a classic Halloween palette: black, orange, and just a touch of bone white.
I used the sentiment included in the kit:
“Trick or Treat, you’re so sweet” — which gave it a perfect mix of spooky and sweet.
Supplies I Used:

- Spellbinders Craftoween Day 3 Poison Bottle Die
- Matte black cardstock (bats)
- Purple & soft blue (label + skull)
- Foam tape for dimension
- Glossy enamel dots or epoxy bubbles (for potion “bubbles”)
- White card base for contrast
Tips for Crafting Your Own:
- Add clear acetate or vellum to the bottle window for a glassy effect
- Try heat embossing the word “POISON” for extra texture
- Want more drama? Ink blend around the edges of the card for a smoky, spooky vibe
- Turn this into a tag for Halloween treat bags by shrinking the design!
