Day 5 of Spellbinders’ 13 Days of Craftoween brought the cutest little spider to life—and I couldn’t wait to “creep it real” with him in today’s project! Inside the magical Craftoween envelope, I found a spider die set complete with wiggly legs, beady eyes, and the fanciest little top hat you’ve ever seen. Of course, I had to give him a starring role on today’s card.
My Handmade Card:

For my Day 5 project, I went with purple-on-purple Halloween vibes. The card base features bold purple stripes, perfect for spooky season. I assembled the spider using glitter cardstock for his hat band (because every gentleman spider needs a little sparkle ), and perched him right atop a pair of skulls for a spooky-cute twist!
To finish it off, I added:
- A black die-cut spider web in the corner
- Scattered sequins for a touch of shine
- Layered skulls and curled vines for drama
- A coordinating envelope for happy Halloween mail
Supplies I Used:

- Craftoween Day 5 Spider Die (Spellbinders)
- Purple striped cardstock
- Black glitter paper
- Skull and vine dies from my stash
- Assorted sequins
This card was such a blast to put together—and I love how it’s a little spooky, a little fancy, and totally fun. Perfect for gifting to a Halloween-loving friend or tucking into a treat bag!
